It's from the past couple of weeks, hooray for snow!! :-) We've been having so much fun!

Brrr!
It has been SO cold outside!! Highs in the teens and lows in the negatives. Needless to say, I haven't played with the horses for a couple of days, but we have been doing some small things. I groomed Eddie and took his blanket off for a little bit. He was happy to let his skin breathe a little bit, but even happier that I put it back on him! I picked out his feet, and then we all went for a couple of laps in the track. We ran around, trotted a lot and did 2 whole laps in the track. So they were all nice and refreshed to go back in their paddocks. We're just keeping lots of hay in front of them, and making sure that they are warm, out of the wind and as happy as can be! :-)
Tomorrow, I'm probably going to go and trim Jigs, if it's not too cold, then probably trim Diesel's back feet this week and Eddie could use a touch up too. :-) It's always good to keep their feet maintained while the ground is so hard and frozen.
Stay warm!

Snow, snow, everywhere!
Wow, these last couple of days have been so exciting! I played with Eddie for a nice long time yesterday. First, we played out in the pasture and just had some fun together, then we went into the outdoor and rode for a long time. Eddie was so amazing! We trotted around a lot and he was so willing. He stopped on a dime when I asked him and was just awesome! Here are some pictures!
Yehaw!! He had quite a bit of energy!
But now he's all relaxed! :-)
Aw! My pretty pony!
Then, last night our whole family went to go and see the new Chronicles of Narnia movie!! I was so excited, because I'm such a huge Narnia fan. It wasn't as good as the first one, but it's perfect in its own way. I definitely recommend families to go and see it! The sea monster was a little scary, but what sea monsters isn't?!
Here is the trailer!
Then, today we played in the outdoor! It's raining right now, so I'm glad that I got out when I did! We ran around a lot, because he was very spunky, jumped lots of things, and just had fun together. He was happy to run around and just kick up his heels. hehe! Literally!
I trimmed Diesel after I was done playing with Eddie, and he was feisty too! lol! But I got his front feet done, and I'll probably do his back feet tomorrow.
Such good ponies, I'm so blessed to have them in my life!

More Fun in the Snow!
Well, today was very sunny, and very snowy! Eddie was so sleepy this afternoon, because the sun was all warm, so we didn't do any skijoring. But, I did hop and and ride for a while! For the first time, in a long time, we did consecutive laps in the outdoor. o_o Which is pretty huge for him!! He gets bored easily when we do that, but I made it interesting enough, that he didn't get bored. I made it interesting using transitions! We trotted for a long while, then stopped, backed up and did it all over again. It was really fun, and I think he thought so too! :-)
But, instead of skijoring, I asked dad to pull me! lol! Here's a video of it, it was really fun!!!

Skijoring!!
Hey there!
Yesterday, Eddie and I had so much fun! I trimmed Scout in the morning, which went really well, his feet are looking great! Then I played with Eddie. We went for a lap in the track, just to warm up, get moving a little bit. We went in the outdoor after that and tried our hand at skijoring!!
For those of you who don't know what it is, check this out:
We did it last Christmas with Scout, but I haven't tried it with Eddie yet.
Here is a video of us skijoring last christmas:
Anyway, Eddie did so well! I strapped on my skis, and we were off! Sort of! lol! We walked from hay pile, to hay pile, in a big circle. But it was still really good! He was willing to pull me and the snow was really slippery for skis, so it was perfect. I'll definitely do it again today and get some video of it. :-)

Riding in the snow!!
The past two days, have been great!! It snowed on Friday, and it's been so nice out!
So we've been riding a lot, and enjoying the snow!
Then, today we rode in the pasture and outdoor and we trotted for a nice long time!!! YAY! I was also able to sit it very easily, which is pretty huge for us.
See, his trot is ginormous. And his 'super' extended trot is just that, super. Very long, and very pretty! And since I only ride bareback, no bareback pad or anything, it can be hard to sit. But, I was just determined to get it today and I did! Yay! I was so excited! Also, the snow helps, so he has to slow down a little bit.
What a good boy! I love my Eddie!
Here we are playing out in the pasture. It was snowing, and it was so pretty!
Aww! My beautiful Eddie boy, when we were riding yesterday! <3
haha!! That's Eddie's favorite position. Licking his lips, and looking silly! My sister, Allison is riding Scout. Click here to go to her blog!
I love my Eddie boy! Man, he sure looks tall! 15.3 hands, but he sometimes looks like 17 hands! lol!
Another picture! <3 Look at that face!
~Lea & Eddie~
P.S. Hopefully we can go skiing tomorrow with the horses. I'll be sure to have pictures and videos!

Playing with Eddie & Scout
Well, I just got in from playing with the horses!
I was out there for a long time, and got to play with Eddie and Scout both! We all had a lot of fun. First, I played with Eddie in the pasture. We ran around, trotted over the cavaletties and jumped. Then, we went for a walk in the track. He was somewhat nervous about it, but I just comforted him and we continued. Sometimes, all that horses need are a little reassuring guidance. We ended by standing on the pedestal with three feet, then his back feet. It was really fun, and Eddie was so happy that it was warm enough that we could play!
I'm off to help my sister wash dishes! ;-) Oh what fun that will be! lol!

After that, I haltered up Scout and we played in the pasture too. We did a barrel racing pattern a few times and it was really fun! He liked to go fast around them, which was fun! I'll have to get a video of us doing it soon! :-) After that, I hopped on for a little bit and we trotted all the way inside. He was in such a silly mood! Very mouthy, and very naughty. ;-) But he was still a good boy, and did what I asked. With a little give and take of course. hehe!

Trimmin' & Walkin'
It snowed today! Yippee!!
So this morning, while it snowed, the horses were in and out randomly, but they were enjoying the snowflakes! :-) Why is it that horses look SO beautiful when there is snow? I don't know, it must just be their winter coats. hehe!
Anyway, I did school this morning, and then trimmed Eddie this afternoon. His feet were long, and the ground was very hard, so I was eager to trim them so that nothing would chip off. They are looking great, and I'm so happy that I'm doing them now. It's so much fun! :-)
Then later this afternoon, around 4, dad, Allison and I took all three of the boys for a walk around the track! It was cold, but we had fun!
We went in the pasture after that and I hopped on Eddie and let him graze for a little bit. It was really nice to spend time with all the ponies!
So, here's to SNOW and the coming winter! I think it's going to be a great one!
